Code of Conduct for Staff
Responsibilities and Duties of Teaching Staff
General Rules

  1. To be on time to the college duties.
  2. Registering fingerprint in biometrics-Morning and evening.
  3. Preparation of teaching plan.
  4. Teaching and ensuring attendance of students as per University norms.
  5. To use ICT based teaching, learning methods and Innovative methods of teaching
  6. Evaluation of Assignments/Projects works/Internal test papers/Class test papers
  7. Counseling the Students
  8. To display on notice boards, Marks, Attendance details etc. pertaining to the students as and when required
  9. To motivate students to participate in co-curricular, extracurricular, sports and other activities within the college and outside the college.
  10. To conduct the meetings for mentees and record it in extra co-curricular diary
  11. Submission of daily diaries for signatures to HOD and Principal on 1st of every month
  12. Participation in departmental, College activities and all other duties
  13. To redress the students grievances
  14. To provide remedial coaching for slow learners
  15. Examination work such as invigilation, evaluation
  16.  To participate in seminars/conferences /workshops
  17. Upgrading of qualification and involvement in research work
  18. Any other duties assigned by the Management and Principal from time to time
  19. Teachers Association should not be formed without the permission of the Management.
  20. Teachers should not involve themselves in any form of political activity inside or outside the College.
  21. Proper dress code must be maintained by the teachers.
  22. Teachers must not participate in any strike or demonstration either inside or outside the campus.
  23. Teachers should not make or receive calls on their phones while engaging classes.
  24. Teachers must conduct at least one activity pertaining to the association or clubs they are in charge of.
  25. All the teachers are expected to participate and help in the conduct of various College program like Sports Day, Medical Check-up, Independence Day, Republic Day and any other program organized by the College.
  26. Teachers are expected to conduct Remedial Classes for slow learners and Bridge Course for new entrants.
  27. Department meeting must be conducted.
  28.   No representation to any Government authority or University should be made in the name of the College without the permission of the Principal and the Management.

Guidelines regarding attendance and punctuality

  1. Teachers must report to duty at the time specified each day and be on the campus unless permitted or assigned duties elsewhere.
  2. If need arises to go out of the campus for some personal work, permission must be sought from the Principal and the same must be entered in the Movement Register.
  3. The working hours for Teachers as prescribed by the Government is 40 hours, while their teaching hours is 16 hours per week.
  4. Teachers must be present 15 minutes before the start of the College.
  5. Teachers have to sign in the Attendance Register twice-as soon as they come in and while going home.
  6. Teachers must compulsorily be in the College till the end of the College hours.

Guidelines for availing Leave

  1. Prior permission must be obtained from Principal while applying for Casual leave/OD/RH
  2. Teachers availing OD must compulsorily give joining report with relevant attendance and other certificates while reporting to duty.
  3. Half day CL will not be sanctioned.
  4. 15 days of casual leave can be availed in a calendar year.
  5. Leave for higher studies will be granted with the permission of the Management
  6. Leave for visit to foreign countries will be granted with the permission of the Management and the Department.

Responsibilities and Duties of Non Teaching Staff

  1. The administrative staff should abide by the College timings.
  2. All Non-teaching faculty should remain on duty during college hours.
  3. Non-Teaching staff shall not leave the College premises without permission.
  4. Non-Teaching staff should maintain cleanliness in the campus.
  5. Non-teaching staff will carry out their duties as instructed by the authorities.
  6. Any loss or damage to any article in the Lab or Class rooms should be reported to Principal in writing immediately.
  7. The menial Staff should report to duty one hour before the College starts.

     Office Superintendent

  1. Proper maintenance of official documents and registers of students and faculty
  2. To maintain casual leave register
  3. To maintain movement register for staff
  4. To maintain the records of scholarships of students
  5. To take care of biometric requirement
  6. To supervise the work allotted to administrative staff of different sections
  7. Any other duties assigned by the Management and the Principal from time to time

Accountant

  1. To prepare budget estimate of the college under guidance of Principal
  2. To prepare documents for audit (half yearly & annual audit)
  3. To verify bills for payment
  4. To maintain records of  UGC/CPE funds
  5. To hold custody of receipt books and vouchers
  6. To settle journey claims and advances and other bills
  7. To maintain files of major/minor projects/seminars/workshop etc funded by UGC
  8. Any other duties assigned by the Management and the Principal from time to time

Examination Officer

  1. To organize all works related to college level examination such as preparation of supervision chart, appointments of senior supervisors in consultation with Principal
  2. To correspond with university regarding college examinations, results of students, student complaints submission to university
  3. To organize the filling of examination forms, revaluation and verification forms of student and submission to university
  4. To obtain results of students and display in the college
  5. To send requirement of examination stationary to university and maintain its upto date records
  6. To maintain the records (hard & soft copy) of all passed out students of the institute
  7. To organize arrangement of furniture and numbering of examination seats for examinations 
  8. To maintain stock registers
  9. Any other duties assigned by the Management and the Principal from time to time

Responsibilities and duties of Librarian

  1. To prepare and issue of library cards to students and staff
  2. To issue chest card for students
  3. To follow up return of books issued to students and staff members
  4. To receive international journals and highlight important articles and news
  5. To compile back volumes of journals and periodicals and arrange for binding and stacking
  6. To maintain the day wise records of visits of staff members in library
  7. Display of cuttings of news papers on education/social matters on notice board
  8. To prepare list of required books and to submit to the Principal for further procurement
  9. To ensure discipline of the students in the library
  10.  To effectively encourage faculty and students to use e-journals
  11. Regularly undertake binding of books which are damaged
  12. Weeding of old books to organize book exhibition and talks for the benefit of students
  13. Any other duties assigned by the Management and the Principal from time to time

Responsibilities and Duties of parents

  1. Parents must participate in their wards learning progress by motivating them and inculcating moral values in them.
  2. Parents must make sure that their wards never skip the classes and have a good attendance record at the college.
  3. Parents must regularly take feedback from teachers about their wards progress and also develop positive relations with the college staff.
  4. The parents should be supportive and encourage a safe environment for all students at the college.
  5. Parents/Guardians must attend the parents teachers meet.
  6. Parents’ representatives must attend the IQAC meetings without fail.
  7. Parents should provide their feedback regularly.

Responsibility and duties of students

  • Student should attend all the classes, test, examination, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities regularly
  • Students should wear the college uniform every day
  • Students should wear their chest cards in the college compulsorily
  • Students should read the notices put up on the notice boards regularly
  • Student secretaries are selected by way of interview
  • Use of mobiles is strictly prohibited in the campus. If found, penalty has to be paid
  • Fees once paid will not be refunded
  • At least  75% of attendance is a must in all subjects
  • Students should submit assignments, seminars, projects work etc on time
  • Student should respect all the faculty members and maintain discipline in the campus.
  • Student should not indulge in any untoward activity either on the campus or outside the campus.
  • Students should not write on walls of the college, benches and boards. Those who try to impair the beauty of the college will be punished.
  • Ragging is strictly prohibited in the college campus. Any student indulging in ragging shall be punished and rusticated from the college under section 109, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116.
  • At the time of admission students and their parents are required to submit an affidavit regarding “ragging” as per UGC guidelines, to prohibit and prevent the ragging.
  • In case of sickness or any other unavoidable reason, a candidate can get an exemption up to 25% of the attendance after providing a proof for absence to the head of the institution in this regard in advance.
  • Student with less than 75% attendance in any subject is not eligible to appear for semester-end examination.
  • General secretaries are the members of the IQAC
  • Students can submit their grievances (if any) to the student welfare Department or Principal
  •  Students should provide their feedback about the college facilities and faculty
  • Students will maintain perfect silence in class rooms. Students shall not stand outside the class rooms and must be within the class rooms before the teacher enters
  • Insubordination, unbecoming, language, ungentle manly conduct, quarrelling etc, will be severely dealt with.
