About YRC:
Youth Red Cross and Health Club is an association of students in college for taking care of everything that is necessary for keeping an individual healthy. This wing deals with activities for the students to possess goodhealth which includes Mental health, Physical Health and Social health.
Youth Red Cross and Health Club was formed in our college as per the Red Cross Act. As Social Consciousness and Commitment are part of the college vision and organises various awareness Programmes every year.
The Youth Red Cross is the integral part of Indian Red Cross Society. It is a group movement organized for students of the age group 18-25 years. Any student can join the Youth Red Cross irrespective of their streams.
Health Club’s vision is to develop sensitivity among students regarding health and nutrition, awareness and maintenance of a healthy life style. Itconducts exercises for the students and teachers.
Objectives:

  1. HEALTH- Taking care of own health and others
  2. SERVICE- Understanding and accepting of civic responsibility.
  3. FRIENDSHIP- Promotion of National and international friendliness and helpfulnessto develop the mental and moral capacities of the youth.

Activities

    • YRC unit conducts Blood ScreeningCampfor the college students to ensure their blood group.
    • Blood Donation Camps in association Blood Banks so as to help the needy people at the time of operations (or) sickness.
    • Medical Campand Eye Test Camp for the college students to ensure their hygiene and prevent eye related disorders.
    • It conducts workshops and guest talks on women health.
    • It organises to visit to orphanages centres.
